Dear Nobu,(Nagata-san),
Apologies for taking so long to thank you for the wonderful time we had with you in Kyoto. When we got back home the holidays were revving up and we got lost in the bus-i-ness of it all. Happy New Year to you!
What you showed us in Kyoto was spectacular - the gardens and highlights, along with your patient, attentive and personal touring will always warm our memory of this most beautiful city. You organized the day around our quirky desires and though we moved quickly from one place to another, as we wanted, we were able to come away with a solid sense of Kyoto. We were, a week later, very sad to leave.
Your keen knowledge of the city, history, and above all, your kindness and willingness to gear the day around our interests, was greatly appreciated. It meant a lot to both of us and we thank you deeply.
We left Kyoto and soon after, Japan, hoping that we will return.
Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, if we could click our heels together and open our eyes in another place, it would be Kyoto!
All the best to you - wishing you a great and healthy 2016.
